We get this question a lot! Generally, our bulldozer, skid steer, and/or excavator will get the job done. The amount of equipment it will take and which machines work best would totally depend on the property and what the client wants.
We want to make sure our client is completely satisfied and that we have a FULL understanding of what the end-goal is.
A few things that have to be considered before we start on a land clearing job:
- How many acres are being cleared?
- How wooded is the area?
- How wet is the area?
- What the client wants as far as land clearing? A driveway? Pond? Roadway?
- Are we removing 100% of the trees or just the smaller underbrush?
- Are tree stumps an issue?
- How can we dispose of the trees and debris being removed? Are we able to burn the piles or do we need to haul them off in a big off-road dump truck?
We take so many questions and details before quoting or starting a land clearing job. Many people want their land cleared, but do not have the option to burn on their property due to burning bans. In Florida, when it gets too hot and we are in a drought, burn bans will be put into place to prevent wildfires (typically this would happen in the summer/fall). If this is the case, we will have to use an off-road dump truck to remove the debris from your property, or we may bury the debris on your property depending on what you are prepping your land for.
Our Land Clearing Machines:
Bulldozer: This machine helps move material at a lower cost by its fuel-efficiency and low maintenance costs.
Excavator: Our heaviest piece of equipment for land clearing. This machine provides our crew with the digging power and mobility needed. We can dig trenches, ponds, and ditches, along with lifting away big loads of debris.
Skid Steer: This machine can literally do just about everything! From grading and demolition to digging to lifting heavy materials. This machine is compact, so it is easier to use when we can.
